The Chronic Care Active Management and Prevention (CAMP) program helps communities develop culturally sensitive programs that promote healthy lifestyles and prevent chronic illnesses. CAMP also works to empower individuals to take ownership of their own healthcare with family and community support. Services include:

Here is a schedule of events happening this month to promote healthy living and prevent cardiovascular disease in our communities. Look for more items continuing to be planned and implemented throughout the whole region – but here is a sneak peak of what you can look forward to.


National Wear Red for Women Day

February 30-Day Fitness Challenge

Complete the attached challenge and bring it back to CAMP at the beginning of March to receive a prize! 


1st Annual Eskimo Kickball Tournament is scheduled for Sunday, February 19th - Registration is now OPEN. Last day to turn in registration forms is February 15th. 



It is that time of year for 10-in-10 Weight Loss Challenge hosted by the CAMP Department. With New Year’s Resolutions starting, let the CAMP Department help you get healthier, eat better, and lose weight in the process. The 10-in-10 weight loss challenge can help you lose 1-2 pounds/week for the next 10 weeks. Leaders will provide nutrition and exercise tips, support, and motivation to get your new year’s off to a good start.

 Classes will be held in conference room 212 at NSHC on Mondays at noon and 5 PM starting on January 9th. Please contact Bailey Martin at 443-3477 or the CAMP Department at 443-3365 for more information. We are excited to see you there!
