BRIEF SUMMARY |
Coordinates total nursing care and demonstrates skills necessary to care for patients of all ages, to include, but not limited to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups. Participates in patient and family teaching. Reinforces patient’s continued health care through teaching and/or referral to community agency follow-up. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with co-workers, ancillary staff and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. |
| QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: | Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Licensure: Must be licensed as an RN by the State of Alaska. Experience: One year of nursing experience is required, preferably in the Inpatient setting. Three years of Inpatient Nursing experience is preferred. Registration/Certification: BLS certification is required. ACLS, PALS and NRP is preferred. Work Hours: Must be able to work varied hours with flexible schedules. Overtime may be required. Travel: Travel for Medivacs is optional. Travel may be via small aircraft. |
