The Capital Projects Office, based in Anchorage, is responsible for NSHC's building projects. The office designed a prototype village clinic and will be building clinics in the villages of Golovin, White Mountain and Koyuk based on this standard design. The office also completed building a 17,000-square-foot subregional clinic in Unalakleet which opened April of 2004. Planning is also underway for a new hospital in Nome within the next ten years.
