JOB TITLE: Director of Health Information Management
HOURLY WAGE: $61,880 - $72,800 (DOE)
CLOSING DATE: Open Until Filled

BRIEF SUMMARY OF JOB:

To oversee and maintain the operations of the Health Information Management Department in accordance with NSHC policies, procedures and applicable regulations. This position plans, directs and coordinates the activities of the department to provide medical records services to patients and departments. Establishes policies and procedures to enhance patient care.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:Bachelors degree in Health Information’s Management or closely related field from an accredited college or University.

Registration/Certification: Registered Health Information Technician and/or Registered Health Information Administrator.

Experience: Five years of progressive experience in Health Information Management. Three years of administrative/supervisory experience required.

Skills: This position requires good organizational skills with attention to detail. Must be a self-starter. Possess ability to follow detailed written and oral instruction. Demonstrate professionalism, consideration and confidentiality towards others in stressful situations.

Working Conditions: Clean, well-lighted and ventilated office subject to frequent interruptions.

Work Hours: Work hours are normally Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, however, overtime may be required occasionally to meet deadlines.
