Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAMS)

December 9 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

De-escalation training teaches students to slow down, create space, and use communication techniques to defuse a potentially dangerous situation. De-escalation training provides healthcare workers with strategies to calmly deal with people who are experiencing mental and emotional crises. This class can be taken by any employee. All classes offer a basic and advanced (please specify when requesting to join the class whether you will be taking basic only or basic and advanced. The basic training focuses primarily on verbal de-escalation strategies and the advanced focuses on how to safely remove yourself from a physically violent threat with hands on techniques. The basic class is for all employees, the advanced can be taken by anyone but should be taken by anyone that has direct patient contact.

September 21st Basic from 9am-12noon, advanced from 1-3pm

October 19th Basic from 1pm-4pm, Advanced from 4pm-6pm

November 18th Basic from 9am-12noon, Advanced from 1pm-3pm

December 9th Basic from 9am-12noon, Advanced from 1pm-3pm
