Fry Bread with IÑUA

Join NSHC IÑUA’s Outreach Coordinator Carol Seppilu on Zoom and learn how to make fry bread with berry and cream cheese filling to celebrate Native American Heritage Month! We will be going over the steps together and by the end of the class we’ll have made fresh fry bread. There will be a little bit of time in between for a discussion as a group while we wait for the dough to rise.

Things needed for the class:

A frying pan & stove, or an electric skillet
Frying oil
1 ½ cup of warm water
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
2 ¼ tsp (or 1 pkg) rapid rise yeast, to make the dough rise quickly
1 stick butter
¼ cup berries, I like to use tundra blueberries or cranberries + sugar to sweeten it up
1 package cream cheese
1 can sweetened condensed milk + water
