1 COVID-19 Case Identified on Sunday
Nome, Alaska –Norton Sound Health Corporation identified one new COVID-19 case in Little Diomede on Sunday, June 12.
There are currently 10 active cases in the region: nine are in Nome and one is in Diomede.
Anyone in the region can get tested for COVID-19, and anyone 5 years and older can be vaccinated.
Soon, Moderna and Pfizer vaccines will be available for children ages 6 months to 5 years. NSHC recommends vaccinating against COVID-19 and is gauging parental interest in vaccinating in order to make sure enough vaccine is on hand.
