Summercise

What is Summercise?

SUMMERCISE is a partial day program that provides kids with an opportunity to engage in enjoyable movement and learn basic cooking and nutrition skills. SUMMERCISE will run as 6 individual weeks of classes. Look at the online class list to see what classes are being offered during the different weeks. You can sign your child up for as many or as few weeks as you like to best fit your family’s schedule! Paper brochures can also be picked up at the NSHC CAMP Department.

SUMMERCISE will run rain or shine. A majority of our activities will be outside, even if they are being dropped off at an indoor location. Please send your child with appropriate dress for all weather. If we deem weather is too inclement, you will be contacted by 12:00PM with cancellation or location changes via your preferred contact method. Updates will also be made on social media.

DATES & TIMES:

Week 1: June 9-12
Week 2: June 16-19
Week 3: June 23-26
Week 4: July 14-17
Week 5: July 21-24
Week 6: July 28- July 31

Children may be dropped off between 12:45PM – 1:00PM; pick-up begins at 4:30PM.
Children must be picked up by no later than 5:00PM; our staff is dismissed at this time.

Age Requirements:

Summercise participants must be age 5 by the first day of their first class. Our classes may be tailored to specific ages. Please read our class descriptions carefully when selecting your child’s classes.

Swimming Classes: these are divided into “Advanced Swimmers” and “Beginner Swimmers”; please choose classes that best match your child’s swim experience. If we deem them to not fit the skill level, we may need to adjust their classes. Please note, swim classes are not consider swim lessons or instruction, classes are to allow kids to build on their current swim skills. We are accommodating to various skill levels, but it is best if your child should have some previous experience in an aquatic environment.
